Missler Software has a solid experience in catering to the specific needs of toolmaking. TopSolid’Split is an extension of the latest version of TopSolid’Design which allows tool makers, especially those specializing in plastic injection, to significantly increase their productivity by giving them the means to easily define and design core cavity blocks from an imported 3D plastic part, or directly designed in TopSolid’Design.

Once the model has been imported in TopSolid’Design, TopSolid’Split enables the user to prepare the part to be injected by quickly analyzing the draft angles of the model (detection of vertical faces and undercut faces) and by globally or differentially controlling the shrinkage factor related to the material used. TopSolid’Split also automatically determines the best parting lines, while leaving the user free to redefine them locally, when passing over a face, for example.

Furthermore, this new module provides intelligent wizards to automatically generate shut off surfaces and external parting surfaces.

In addition to efficiently creating your molding blocks, the biggest benefit of TopSolid’Split 7.7 is certainly its ability to define all inserts needed to take the production constraints into account, at the core & cavity block split stage.

TopSolid’Split 7.7 adds significant value to TopSolid’Design in terms of tooling and features all the functions needed to create complete molds in the coming years. This extension will be officially available in the software in January 2013.
